This is usually tram route 2, but today some of the tracks route 2 takes were closed. So it was turned into a V-Train, meaning it goes wherever it likes as long as the beginning and end stops are same as always.
My favorite of the ones you posted on the forum...at first I couldn't tell why, I mean it seems just like a simple shot of a train. I think the reason I like it so much is your great use of the depth of field. the way the tracks get blurry as they are closer to the viewer looks awesome, and it evokes the way it really looks if it's a hot day with heat waves rising of the tracks, so i think the DOF really adds to the feeling and ambience by looking like a hot day. Great job, awesome attention to detail.
it actually was a pretty warm day. but my intention was to lead people into the shot with the tracks, thats why they are blury. what you are saying is totally right though. thanks so much for such an extensive comment
this is a nice shot as well. i like how the green of the train is tied into other parts of the shot by the grass and trees. the tracks also provide some nice lines that lead you into the shot. nice work
if i focused to the left i dont think the depth of field would have been effected. because i think i actually focused at infinity so there is no difference where i point my lens.
thanks for the comment a lot
blur is good i think... it makes the tram stand out more.
if i were to crop i would crop on the right to get rid of that traffic light
but i NEVER crop my images. i try to achieve good composition and framing when i am shooting.
